Design Brief

We are a family of 3. My little one has a playroom, so I wanted to invest in this living room space by making it personal, warm, and colorful - a zone for me to entertain my friends and unwind at the end of the day. The living room is in the basement, and although it is challenging to make things come around, I knew right from the beginning of my collaboration with Spacejoy - the team would see my vision come to life. I am in love with shades of gray, light blues, and white. I wanted my room to be filled with the right color palette, decor, floor lamps, a rug or two, and most importantly, I wanted each corner of this room to bring out my personality. Since I work in the travel industry, I wanted to add a few souvenirs to the room to remind myself that this is 'my space.' Right through the process, Lauren and I were in constant contact. She knew my requirements and incorporated them into play. I also expressed interest in bringing a mid-century, transitional and eclectic theme to function, and Lauren listened patiently, and the result - she tied everything together in perfect harmony.

My experience with Spacejoy has been exceptional, right from step one of plan selection to placing an order and even the overall website experience. Lauren and the team worked on giving me the living room of my dreams. Getting this space together was vital as I couldn't do much when I moved in. I was pregnant, and all I could do was add a few pieces of furniture. I knew this room had a soul with no life, and working with Spacejoy and Lauren ; I was optimistic that she would bring my vision to life in my space. Lauren worked well with the color palette. She incorporated a lot of decorative elements which offered character to the room. She ensured that every inch of this space was covered with patterns to bring out that eclectic vibe. My basement living room now embodies style, comfort, and glam. Take a bow Spacejoy. You've turned my living room into something right out of a fairy tale book.

Using the Spacejoy App to Experience Designs in 3D

Not many online interior websites allow you to see your room come to life right before your eyes. However, Spacejoy is the only app I know that ensures their client is a happy customer even before the project concludes. The 3D feature on the app is remarkable. I was able to view my living room before the decor and furniture were included. The 3D process helped me understand what my room would look like. It encouraged me to give positive feedback to Lauren to make the tiny changes wherever it was necessary. Overall, I love my ‘new’ living room and can’t wait for my friends to come over for cocktails.

When I took an intense look at my living room, I knew it needed a change. It needed a professional touch, and that’s when Lauren and the Spacejoy team stepped in. When my living room’s conceptualizing was done, Lauren showed me the 3D renders, and at that moment, I didn't believe my eyes. The renders gave me a clearer picture of the exact layout and the design and decor elements. Everything that I wanted to be present in my living room was there! Lauren added in a few plants that instantly brought in a pop of color to go around with the gallery wall behind the sofa. And the Batik rug she included was worth every penny spent.
